Will there be a translation update before ISO is released?

Post by nowakowski »

For the last few days I have been making sure that the Polish translation for the Mint 20 is complete. Several times a day I look at Launchpad to see if there are any new elements to translate. I have BETA installed on my second laptop to know exactly in what context these phrases appear. I see today that there is an update in BETA, which has added a lot of new translations, including mine. I'm very happy about that. What worries me, however, is that after this update, there appeared new translatable phrases, including those that you see immediately – in mintwelcome. I translated them quickly in Launchpad, but I wonder if there will be another translation update before ISO is released? It would be very sad if Polish users at the start up were to see a half translated window.

There probably will be. I've been translating for almost a decade (into Dutch) myself, and my experience is that the Mint devs usually do a last-minute translations update before final release.

Hi, comrades of translator

I also usually translate.
I have monitored the LaunchPad page textual additions using the web update checking service daily.
But beyond
Can I identify which new source text is new in LaunchPad?
In LaunchPad I can't distinguish between existing untranslated and new text.

Yes, fortunately, it has been updated before creating stable ISO.
