Hello,
As a newbie, creating a separate partition for my /Home data took some time. (I thought it a miracle that I got it to work!). I am worried that when 18.3 XFCE is released from Beta, and I upgrade, that it might delete my /Home partition. Do I need to be worried?
I really love Linux Mint. I waded through lots of other distributions, and nothing comes close IMHO. I am running it on both my old Acer laptop, and my Netbook.
Thank you so very much.

Regarding your question: You don't need to worry, your home stays untouched during upgrade.
But in general: You should invest some time to think about a backup strategy. Not backed up files are by definition superfluous files.
As you might ask now, what to use: I recommend and use Back in Time.
