Deleting an Windows 7 Symantec Endpoint encrypted disk
All I'm hoping one of you guys has run into this issue. I want to convert one of my laptops to a Linux Mint Maya system. It currently has an symantec endpoint encrypted Windows 7 harddrive. I attempted to delete the partition using gparted and didn't have any luck. Gparted would act like it deleted the partions but when I'd boot the windows 7 partitions still booted. Thanks!

I'd keep a Windows partition, just in case you ever need to update your BIOS or have a program that does not run on Linux. After removing Endpoint you can maybe just choose "Use whole harddisk" or "Install alongside Windows 7" in the Mint installer.
Mint offers to encrypt your home folder, when installing it. You don't need Endpoint for that.
