Hi,

First time user. I've managed to get Mint 14.1 Cinnamon 32bit to load in Virtualbox. It says automatic boot in 10 secs and counts down, then nothing. The opening menu doesn't show and so I can't seem to continue with installation.

Any advice?

by the way: I'm running virtualbox in windows xp on a 2009 msi wind U100

In case anyone is curious, I had the same problem until I found this blog post, http://carloblogt.blogspot.com/2012/12/ ... t-141.html.

In summary, go to Settings -> System -> Processor -> Extended Features and enable PAE/NX.

It worked for me.
