Hello everyone, I looked around for a while, but I didn't get solved my problem.
I tried to install Linux Mint since Maya 13 but I was never able to do so. I tried with CDs and USB pendrives but the result was the same, that is I can run the live distro but when I try to double click on the Install icon the procedure stucks without do anything, and I'm forced to shutdown manually my laptop.

I tried the same USB pendrives on other PCs and it worked correctly, and I always installed Linux distros on my laptop, such as Ubuntu and OpenSuse.

Why I can't install that? there is something wrong on my procedure?

I have an Acer 6930G-944G32Mn, please help I would to try Linux Mint 14 with Cinnamon x64

Try the 32bit, see if that installs, I don't know if its just me but the 64bit distros seem to have more issues than the 32bit ones.

That's not the problem, I think it's any issue in the distribution...

I tried the same USB device on other PCs and it worked without any problem. Now I'm trying to install Nadia with Cinnamon x64 but it stucks always at the same point.

The live distro works good but when I click on the install icon, the OS get frozen.
My problem seems the same as theese:

but they can start the installation process at least... me not.

How is possible that a Linux distro, correctly installed and booted can't be installed???

just wanted to chime in saying that my acer travelmate is also having trouble installing. my issues range from not being able to boot (freezing), to completing the installation process and then not being able to boot into the installed environment (freezing during boot). i know that wireless b43 adapters tend to cause issues here and there, so maybe that is playing into the problem, but lm13 installed and ran fine about a year before i decided to wipe and try to upgrade.
