Hello, is it possible to repartition an exisiting NTFS Windows
partition into one NTSC, and one linux partion without having
to reinstall windows and lose all my data?

Hello Terw !

I'm guessing you mean NTFS partition here as I think NTSC is the american standard for broadcast TV ?

Anyways, yes you can shrink an NTFS partition, which isn't exactly repartitioning but it will give you the free
space to create a partition for Linux to reside on.

There are lots of postings on this forum about this so I'll leave you to have a hunt around to find them.

Mike.

Whatever you try, I suggest backup at least "My Documents" to a different hdd or to a USB stick.
Yours hopefully -
