Hello,
I installed Mint 14 on my new Acer V3-V771 on an additional SSD drive.
In order to be able to boot Mint 14, I had to swap the drives hence the SSD with Mint 14 is the first drive, the HDD with Windows 8 is the second drive.
Unfortunately Windows 8 doesn't appear as a boot option.
sudo parted -l gives:
Model: ATA SanDisk SDSSDX12 (scsi)
Disk /dev/sda: 120GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B

4 869MB 482GB 481GB ntfs Basic data partition

What needs to be done to be able to boot Windows 8 when required?

Re: Dualboot setup Mint + Windows 8?
Perhaps you can boot it from the Bios. Both have GPT partition.
