Mintorless Server

Postby Kryspy » Wed May 28, 2008 7:15 pm

Hi,

I have the OS set up; SAMBA set up, autologin setup, shares set up. Now how do I boot without a monitor ?!? I am perplexed as I thought that is what the autologin was for.

Thanks muchly in advance,

Kryspy

Well with autologin you are booted automatically all the way...
If not something is wrong

Thanks,

I figured out the problem; in short don't play with the PC when you are tired...... you tend to miss the "stop on no error" option in the bios. Had it set before but forgot to reset it after I updated the bios.

All is well now. Thanks for the reply.

Remember, you don't need to "Login" to use Samba if the networking is started at boot time, this way you haven't got a server
which is potentially open to use if someone plugs a monitor in :)
