Mint Olivia x64 (Cinnamon) boot issue

Post by neuromancer1970 »

During installation, I chose "Other Install" and opted to install Mint 15 over my old Mint 14 partition. I had a dual boot installation with Windows 7. After installation and the prom pt to removed the installation DVD, the laptop rebooted and just hung. After waiting 1/2 hour, Ctrl-Alt-Del and I got this message:

error: file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found
grub rescue

I really need to have this fixed and be able to access my Windows 7 partition again. How?

Write the iso image to a flash drive or burn it to CD.
