It does not start after change theme

Hi community, i decided to install Linux Mint 14 Nadia 32 bits on my notebook, i installed the updates, and when i change the Theme, example "Glass Mint", and i restart the computer, it doesn't start!, simply showing a black screen, and anything happens!, can be there for hours, after 3 or 4 restarts from turn off button, the system loads with big icons on the right side, and when i click in troubleshooting, and returns to deffault linux mint theme, everything is OK. It's strange, i can't change the themes without getting this problem, what can i do? thanks you in advanced.

I may be the videocard - have you checked online for compatibility problems?
