Hello! I seem to have a problem with my custom PC. Whenever I install Linux Mint (Or any other popular distro), after I reboot, it skips GRUB and the Windows Boot Manager and boots straight to Windows 8. There are no error messages or issues with Windows or the Mint installation. That being so, I can't get any error messages or logs. I do not use Mint4Win. I created a partition in Windows then in the partition manager during the install, I formatted it to ext4 and the mount point as /. Any help would be appreciated.
I have an Intel i5-3570K and an ASRock Z77 Pro4 motherboard. Everything is connected to the Intel SATA ports, not the ASMedia ports.
Linux Mint does not exist after install with Windows 8.

Try creating a USB flash drive or CD-R with rEFInd (download links to ready-made images are on that page) and boot from the medium you create. If you see Linux options, try them. If they work, try installing rEFInd's Debian package in Mint.
If you run into problems with any of this, please run the Boot Info Script from a Linux emergency disc and post the RESULTS.txt file it produces here, either as a link or between code tags. That will provide more information that's necessary for a proper diagnosis.
