when i try to install this pops up

this kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only found an i686 CPU.
unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your computer.
im trying it on a dell inspiron MP061 tired other copys of lynux as well wouldnt work can any one help

this message means you are trying to boot a 32-bit computer with a 64-bit OS.this kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only found an i686 CPU.
Go get 32-bit iso and repeat the exercise.

i tried a 32-bit and it didnt work either plus i know its a 64-bit pc cause i had put a win xp 64bit os on it before
