no Superkey in Linux Mint 15

Post by ede875 » Tue Nov 05, 2013 7:04 pm

Hello fellows,

I installed Mint 15 yesterday. It's nice but I can't use the "Windows"-Key or Super-Key to open the App-Menu.

Does anyone know how I can change that?

What further information is required?

I use LXDE-Desktop-environment which I like very much but I wonder if it was possible to have a more conveniant Appmenu. For Example would I prefer to type in the programs name as one can do in Win7f.
Is that possible to LXDE, too?

Best regards

Ede

This function is not supported in Lxde. However, if you want superkey support and still have a lightweight desktop, I will suggest Cairodock. It performed well where the others didn't and still looked nice. You can also disable the effects if your hardware does not handle the OpenGL very well.

The main thing I like in Lxde is the panel to be honest.

Would it be possible to change to - let's say xfce or mate or else - and remake that nice panel?
