Hi,
I am running Mint-Mate 16 with kernel 3.11.0-12-generic.
Is it possible to downgrade the kernel without breaking something?
What version is the older kernel I can use?
Is it possible to upgrade to version 3.13.1-trusty without breaking something?
If you have a good link to an how-to this could be very helpfull.
Many thanks

Re: Kernel downgrade version
Yes it is possible. This computer works properly only with 2.6.38-8 kernel (Mint 13 Mate + Fujitsu Amilo La1703 ). Just install a kernel using GDebi.
Re: Kernel downgrade version
I did a test with 3.11.0-15 installed with synaptic then another test 3.9.0-030900 installed with this how-to (edit: and GDebi, I didn't know the name)

Installs was good but the both new kernel didn't solve my issue with alsamixer;
see http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=157635
I'll try earlier version.
Thanks
