Any alternative to Mintconstructor?

Post by DrM » Wed Feb 26, 2014 6:59 am

At http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... onstructor "Why Did Linux Mint Ax mintConstructor?" you can read that Linux Mint decided to abandon Mintconstructor for creating customized Linux Mint LiveDVD images due to abuse. But is is Ubuntu-Builder a good alternative for creating customized Linux Mint LiveDVD images in which the newest fixes and updates are incorporated? I thinkt that it is very important to use Linux Mint LiveDVDs in which the newest updates and fixes are incorporated for security and performance reasons! At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLgPcqA8Pm0 you see a short instruction video about creating customized LiveDVD images.

Warning:
Do not abuse this alternative tool for making fake Linux Mint Distros, otherwise the tool Ubuntu-Builder will share the same fate as Mintconstructor did! Only use it for creating Linux Mint LiveDVDs customized for your needs!

if I'm not mistaken mint main version is still using ubiquity. it means ubuntu's 'howto' will work on mint too.
