Live cd leaves me with a blank screen

Postby Huesos » Wed Mar 14, 2007 11:39 am

So the Bianca live-cd boots everything fine right up to the loading screen. After that, when you would expect to see the desktop welcoming me in to the system, it leaves me with a blank screen. Then nothing happens. What might be the problem? :?

Sounds simple, but on my laptop and an EMachine, I just had to whack a key to wake it up. It put the screen to sleep (power down, time out, blanked) for some reason.

This is frustrating as hell, I have burned the iso several times now and yet the problem still occurs. I don't know what to do... Can anyone help?

I had just the same problem;
I had the same with ubuntu (dapper) and then it was solved by running safe graphics mode (probably with my ATI X700 graphics card), but now it doesn't work either :? :?

someone who can help?

There is a wiki for mint and one of the articles is How to troubleshoot your live cd
Read it and I'm sure you will be helped

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
