alternate install cd, just like the ubuntu text mode install

¿there are some Linux Mint CD for text install, just like the "alternate destop cd" versión of Ubuntu? :?:

I cant install linux mint, i have 256ram, maybe this is the reason. But i think maybe to the install comand dont work. I try the comand in mode console but dontk work too. :?:

Yes Ram is your problem, in the wiki it suggests a minimum of 512mb but I have had it running with 384mb. (gnome version). You could try the XFCE version.

I am doing it with the XCFE version of LinuxMint. It is right the one that does not work.

Live cd works, i have grafic mode, but when i make click in the install icon, it dont work.

Maybe i must leave the proyect, and only try LinuxMint on news PCs and laptops. :?

Now i will download the alternate desktop CD, from the Ubuntu site.

Now, that's worth knowing, most distros still run on 256Mb.

The min recommended ram for Ubuntu is 384mb but lower if you run Xubuntu which I believe has a rec. min. of 256mb but will run on less.
