cinnamon 17

Post by mikeymouse »

Live cd will not work when i am using my LG Flatron 24 inch monitor.
live cd works fine if i use my 19 inch Sony.
Will there be a work around or will i need to wait till the iso is updated?
thanks

What hardware are you running? Knowing that might mean we can start working on a solution.
Problems? Tell us EXACTLY what you've done and what you expected to happen, IN DETAIL. That will save us questions, and we should get along better,

I have dysgraphia. This means I might have understood you incorrectly through no fault of my own.

I am running a LG Flatron monitor W2453V it is a 24 inch led Monitor.
I tried the live Cd cinnamon 17 64 bit. i held the tab+e button when it tried to run.
it could not get by the 24 inch monitor..
When i tried it with the 19 inch monitor it was fine.
Hope this helps.

I ran the live cd again pressing tab+e.
it started in compatibility mode and loads all the data.
A blank screen comes up and then says
mint@min ~$
The display server shuts down , it tries 6 times in 90 seconds and says
It is likely something bad is going on and it waits 2 minutes to try again.
you have to disconect the power to shut the system down.
This is using the LG monitor W2453V
Hope this helps

You sure your graphics card and drivers support that screen?
