Boot Countdown Looping

Postby Kahuna » Fri Nov 28, 2008 9:06 pm

Hi Folks - Brandy new to Linux and been looking foward to trying Elyssa Mint.

Installed it on my USB using the pendrive.com instructions and all seems to have gone well, to the point where when I boot from the USB I get to the Mint Boot Screen and the AutoBoot countdown - but then it simply loops the countdown, 10 seconds down to 0 then starts at 10 seconds again.

I saw one post here about that but the suggested threads did not offer any help.

Have I missed a step?

PC Win XP SP2 - 4GB USB Fat 32 formated.

Any help appreciated.

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

If I hit a key it brings up a message - and hangs until I hit escape then starts to load again - 1 thru 10.

The message is not explanatory/
