how 2 install with less then 256 mb ram?

hi there,

how can i install mint with only 196mb ram?
why is it not possible to install without booting the live-cd?

It is possible but it will be slow
Use knoppix or dsl or some other really low resource distro to make a swap partition
It will be used by the live CD
why is it not possible to install without booting the live-cd?

Resources - we use Ubiquity (the Ubuntu installer) to install and that's the only option
To make an install that does not need to boot the live CD would take too much resources = man hours
