Install Grub Customizer and you can change that:

Grub Customiser is not in the repos. Google it and download it online. It is third-party software, and of limited value, but it will allow you to edit the text in your Grub Menu, just don't expect it to do anything else.

See my thread here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=193013

Good luck.

Did you click on the link I posted? If you do that, it will give you instructions on how to install Grub Customizer. It is not in the Mint repositories, so if you tried to install it with Software Manager or Synaptic, you will not be able to do that. You have to click the link I posted and follow the instructions there.

You did these commands in a terminal?

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install grub-customizer
