Trouble Installing Linux Mint on Windows TV BOX. "Vensmile"

Post by vphan1983 »

Hi everybody,
I am new to the whole linux community, so forgive me for not knowing.
OK, here's my trouble. I have a Vensmile TV Box, its came with windows 8.1 pre-installed but I would like to have Linux mint running instead. But for some reason, I was not able to boot from my live USB to install Linux mint. I entered bios and disable fastboot and all but nothing seem to work. I was not able to switch uefi to legacy. so I don't think this support legacy. I can't even update to windows 64bit even thought its has a 64 bit processor. If anyone knows a way to get linux on there please help.

Are there any Security options in the BIOS, such as Secure Boot?
If so, disable them.
