Hello
Did this install as described in subject. Older Acer Travelmate.
The problem: Win10 installation had 3 primaries, and seems Mint (Linux?) SWAP partition is counted as primary. I Installed mint with only 1 installation directory & Swap, but had to put Mint/Swap in extended partition. I installed GRUB in Mint BOOT partition. However, I don't see GRUB MENU at boot.... goes straight to windows.
I'm not real experienced w/Linux (getting there), but suspect this has something to do with Logical (boot) partition being in extended partition.
This is older bios, NOT UEFI. Not sure if I an move GRUB to a Win partition (?).
Any help appreciated.

From the Live desktop install boot-info-script, open a terminal :
Then pastebin RESULTS.txt to http://paste2.org and post the link.
Code: Select all
apt install boot-info-script
sudo bootinfoscript

Re: Installing Mint w/Win10 on 7 yr. old Acer 32 bit
Hi,
I got this straightened out. Win10 was just too slow on this old ACER so I did a clean Mint install as only OS on the machine. Only 2gb memory but runs very well.
Thanks.
