Mint 18 Mate (Sarah) & HP Mini 2133

Postby IgorS » Fri Aug 12, 2016 5:06 am

Hello everybody ,
I am writting this to help somebody with my experiences .
It is about Linux Mint 18 Mate and HP Mini 2133 . I was using Mint 17 mate on this laptop and I wanted to use new version . Mint 18 Mate Live DVD not running on this laptop (video problem ) . Only way I found to install Mint 18 was to install fresh Mint 17.3 Mate , then install 18 Mate via mintupdate . After (3)install , everything worked out of box , except suspend to ram which produced distorted screen after resume . Solution for that was using pm-suspend-hybrid instead pm-suspend . Wireless works perfect (better than in 17.3 ) with kernel b43 driver . Hope that this will help somebody .

How did you make this option permanent? Or you are running this every time from the terminal command line?

I placed script:
/etc/pm/config.d/00-use-suspend-hybrid-is
containing:

HIBERNATE_MODE=platform
if [ "$METHOD" = "suspend" ]; then
METHOD=suspend_hybrid
