Installation is not setting up apt sources then crashes

Post by Sykal » Wed Nov 02, 2016 1:02 pm

I have tried to install Linux Mint a couple of times today and it won't install. It boots up nicely, then when it is about to complete installation it says it cannot setup apt- sources to install programs from the cd (In this case flash drive) and says the installer has crashed. I checked the image with sha256sum and everything in the image is fine. I just wanted to know if there are other people experiencing this problem and if it is a well known case.

Nevermind. Ubuntu mate gave me the exact same problem. I think there is something wrong with the flash drive or the way that unetbootin is making the flash drive.

You need to take cdrom off from software sources.
