Post by deepakdeshp » Tue Feb 21, 2017 2:07 pm

Hello, I am running 18.1 Cinnamon as the Mint version and running ubunty 16.04 as the Vmware guest. When trying to software upgrade the 16.04 guest, I get the following error.

Code: Select all

 sudo apt-get update
Ign:1 cdrom://Ubuntu-Server 16.04.2 LTS _Xenial Xerus_ - Release amd64 (20170215.8) xenial InRelease
Kindly advise.

Ign:1 cdrom://Ubuntu-Server....
That is NOT an error. "Ign" is short for Ignore.

If it was Mint I would point you to Mint's Software Sources program, but since it is Ubuntu server, I do not know where the Repositories are located.

Code: Select all

    /etc/apt/sources.list
