Partition Errors solved

Postby VinylBassist » Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:36 pm

Hello, i am trying to install Linux Mint 6 off of the Live CD and when i go to partition the drives it gives me an error message saying that it cannot partition the drives. while going under Manual mode, i see that it wont let me edit the windows partition size, and it is unable to tell me the amount used for the partition reading as... unknown. I fear that i am plagued by a corrupt NTFS file system (im really hopping its not the HDD). soo i know i haven't given any useful information, but is there anything i can do?

also, i VERY impressed with this distro so far, i nearly wet myself when the live cd loaded up, and my internet, sound, and graphics worked!

impressive guys! keep it up!

Edit: I just decided to backup and Nuke my Windows partition anyways, besides, windows sucks (thats why im switching to Linux)

so far so good! :D

Edit2: Linux Mint IS the future of computers!

thanks guys for making this! this has been my best Linux experience yet!

Thank you and welcome to Mint
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
