I am unable to figure out how to adjust boot settings with Win 10 to boot Mint. The boot menu has no option to boot from DVD and there is no option to add to list. Some people seem to make it work but I sure can't get anywhere with my Dell Laptop. It has Windows 10 Home. Is that the problem? Is there some other way to boot mint. The boot menu does include NICV4 and NICV6.
Has Microsoft finally found a way to prevent people from installing linux?
SOLVED:
On another thread someone suggested that I try to find the magic startup key that brings up the more basic startup menu, not the BIOS menu. I did that and got Mint to run from the DVD.

What does your Dell laptop's manual say about booting a DVD?
What is the specific model?
Which motherboard does it have?

Dell Manual - There is no such thing. It came with single sheet of paper. Dell site offers no clue.austin.texas wrote:What does your Dell laptop's manual say about booting a DVD?

Inspiron 5755
No idea on motherboard, it's a laptop. AMD A8 64bit
