Live cd kde Easynote F5275

Postby gav425 » Wed Apr 15, 2009 12:08 pm

trying to run the live cd of the newest kde mint. I am a xp user but as I got a free laptop I wanted to try and use all free/share software.
Laptop is a Packard Bell F5275 It has 1gb memory, running xp at the moment.I have put live cd in drive booted got the countdown screen then the mint splash screen with the moving bar left to right. fine so far but the the bar starts to fill up from the left side and stops just under the X of linux. How long should I leave it there? its been there for about an 30 mins no sign of life.

Please help me.

Seems you have to use Compatibility mode
Press any key while the live DVD counts down

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
