Yes... For the end of December. I was hoping there was a download now for a pre-release.

I don't see any reference to a beta release, or any release, or any mention of December?

Yeah, That's why I was asking. I've always been able to download the pre-releases to the final, but not seeing them this time. If you find them link back to me please.
Thanks

Why not say that in the first place rather than pretending there was an announcement of a beta in December? Total time waster.

Thank you Bolle1961. I've been looking all over for the beta link to be.

There should be a proper announcement with links to a beta when it's publicly available for testing.
When I give opinions, they are my own. Not necessarily those of any other Linux Mint developer or the Linux Mint project as a whole.

Two points possibly worth mentioning:

1. In the September Monthly News (Blog), in answer to a question 'when do you estimate to release Linux Mint 18.3?' Clem responded "Nov-Dec 2017".
2. One of the blog commenters on the October Monthly News (named 'magni'), somehow managed to find the pre-release source for 18.3, downloaded it, and has made a number of comments about it.

The latter is likely to cause some confusion to anyone who isn't aware that this was totally unofficial and not what Clem intended.

I've been here for over five years and never had an answer like that. Are you the forum troll? When I come to get an answer that's what I do.
I don't need some smart ass coming back with some stupid hit. Don't need your type around here. Hit the road Jack.

Thanks Mick-Cork. I can wait.

"was a beta announced?"
"yeah"
"got a link"
"here"
"there's no mention of the beta?"
"yeah"

That's time wasting. Calling it out isn't smart-assing or trolling. As to the hike, after you.

It is now listed on the ISOs page mentioned above. Don't see anywhere to download it yet, though.

The current iso's you see are only available to members of the testing team. This is to get them through the basic QA process and ensure they are actually suitable for a more public beta release. You will often see them go through multiple new iterations during the QA phase as glaring, major issues are often found.
