Linux Mint x86 or x64 when 3 GB RAM

Hello!
What version of Linux Mint should I install on an Emachines laptop with Pentium Dual Core CPU T4500@2.30 GHz, 3 GB RAM, x86 or x64 version of Linux Mint? I really don t know.

64 bit. 32 bit is a losing game at this stage. Support is slowly being dropped.

Given the specs, I'd suggest focusing more on the desktop, trying Xfce over Cinnamon, specifically LM 18.2 Xfce 32-bit, or even LM 17.3 Xfce 32-bit (still supported until April 2019).

That said, it is a 64-bit processor, so assuming that the rest of the infrastructure is as well, you can try 64-bit version of LM as well. I know that some software packages are no longer developing for 32-bit, so you may have more options in that regard.

So the real answer (in my personal opinion) is try multiple versions, and select the one that performs best.
