I did that but that didnt change anything. Still cant boot properly.

Edit: managed to edit grub via terminal but sadly every next grub update will force me to edit again... Better than nothing. Will post updates in a day - maybe it wont work

Chances are it is sending graphics to the wrong GPU. Here's a couple things I would try:

First, disconnect your monitor from the nVidia card and attach it to the embedded Intel video output and see if it displays properly.

At the same time I would also interrupt GRUB and change the line that says SPLASH QUIET to NOSPLASH VERBOSE. That way you can watch the boot process and it will give you a hint as to what's going wrong.

The fact that you are seeing nothing at all gives me a hint the nvidia driver is not loading, but the intel driver is. Nouveau is an open-source nVidia driver and doesn't work with Intel graphics.

One thing I would suggest, create a partition as a 50G partition as /. Partition the rest as /Home. IF the system fails, reinstall and use the exact same username and all your 'stuff' comes back to you.
