(SOLVED) can´t mount /proc: no such device found

Post by TerminusEst »

Hi there,

This problem has ever affected me, but after several restarts I´m now upset: everytime I turn on my PC, I have to disconnect my SATA HD to avoid a 80% chance the boot process of my Linux Mint will hang up with that message. I heard somewhere that the BIOS mess up things when more than one partition is set as active. I set my SATA to no active, but to no avail.

Is some type of bug?

This is my config: 2 Pata HD´s (one with Mint, the other with XP) and one Sata for data.

Thx in advance.
