[SOLVED] Unable to boot back into Windows 10

Post by HiroOverdrive »

Hello everyone,

So I installed the latest LM, 18.3 Sylvia Cinnamon on the same drive as my Windows (SSD if it matters). I manually made the SWAP, / and /home partitions after shrinking in Windows the disk size.
All well and dandy, I went on with my exploration of Mint and Linux for that matter. Set up some stuff and wanted to boot back into Windows to play some stuff with friends.

Now, the GRUB loader DOES show my Windows 10 installation but whenever I highlight it and press Enter it just seems to reload the GRUB loader.

I tried Boot Repair but with no success, the same thing happens.
Here is paste link that Boot Repair made: https://paste.ubuntu.com/26155312/
I can also access the Windows partition from Linux with no problems whatsoever.

If anyone has any idea, please lend a hand.

Thank you kindly in advance!

EDIT:

I managed to fix it after reading a post in the Ubuntu Forums. I'll paste the answer here for future references.
I got it working using Grub Customizer.
Edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Find

### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober ###
menuentry 'Windows 10 (loader) (on /dev/sdXX)'

After

chainloader +1

Write

ntldr /bootmgr
