Mint 18.3 Freezes after Login

I installed a fresh copy of Linux Mint 18.3. after that installation system prompts a successful message to restart. When i click on restart button. It ends up on a black screen with some unusual text combined with numbers.. I wait for more then 20min, but nothing happens.So i decided to power off from button.
When i turn on my machine. it was booted fine until Login Screen. When i enter details and press Enter..A Black Screen Appears with freezes mouse cursor.
I searched on net. In some posts. Users tells to to add "nomodeset xforcevesa" in grub. After entering flowing text. Linux Boots but it shows Cinnamon starts in Software Rendering Mode..I tried many suggestions but nothing fixes this issue..

Hello pradeepthedemon and Welcome to Linux Mint Forums,

at lease one of your GPU Card is Nvidia and I suspect that the one that it's trying to boot with. If so please read the release notes found here :

Thanks for Reply sir. As per your suggestions. i added nomodeset in grub. Now Linux Boots in Software Rendering mode. In Driver manager, there are 3 Nvidia drivers having versions 304,340 and 384. 1 xserver.org driver. And 1 driver for Intel microcode. So i installed Nviia 384 (tagged as Recommended), and restarts the machine.
As now after mint boot screen, a white coloured blinking dot appears. and system freezes...
Does i have to install other drivers???

I am thinking you may need the optimus and bumblebee This ask ubuntu page should help you.

it is for ubuntu 16.04 but should work well in mint also.

Mint is based on Ubuntu 16.04 so just ask your question about ubuntu 16.04.
but the page I gave you should show you how to install optimus and bumblebee That's what you need.
