Cant install Linux Mint on OEM laptop-Newbie Help!

Postby Xteck » Sun May 24, 2009 9:13 am

Hi

Im having trouble installing Linux mint on my brandless laptop from China. It loads the Linux mint loading screen then a black screen with some writing such as battery testing or something like that, then it goes blank, then after a minute a message pops up saying Ubuntu is running Low graphics mode and says that the screen will take a minute to restart and after it restarts it displays the same message!! I cant seem to get part this step!

If anyone has any helpful information that would be great

Kind Regards

Does the live install of Mint work OK on the computer?

Have you tried Compatibility mode?
Press any key while the live CD counts down in the beginning
