[SOLVED] Make an older Kernel boot by default.

Post by rdonnelly » Tue Jan 23, 2018 2:31 pm

Any way to pull this off, about 4 or 5 of the latest ones crash my system on resume from advanced power management, and sometimes the fans will remain running on suspend?

Normally this is done by removing the kernels that don't work well on your machine.

That's easy to explain:
- Open the Update Manager
- Open the View menu and choose Linux Kernels
- Choose the right series number from the list on the left, then scroll to the installed kernel on the right
- Select the installed kernel you want to remove, and you'll see the Remove button.

Go to update manager click on view and then kernels remove the ones you do not want.

4.4.0-112 give me the same problems in power management, o well, I guess I will just stick with 4.4.0-109 :(
