Install Mint on Endless OS?

Post by wannabemint » Thu Feb 08, 2018 2:47 pm

Hello, I have a new notebook that came with Linux Endless OS installed on it. I would like Mint better I think because Endless feels like Im on an oversized phone instead a computer. I downloaded Mint on a usb and as in the description also that Etcher programme. Unfortunately, as it is exe, it won't work on my Endless. It says I can only use programmes from the app-center. What can I do to install Mint instead of Endless?
Thank you!

Well, we don't know what all is in your app center... is there anything that looks like it can write a bootable USB (also called startup disk)?
If not, you may need to make your bootable USB on a different computer.

It seems like you can follow these instructions, but use the Mint .iso instead of the Endless .iso:
