- fresh install Windows 10, shrunk partition ready to go
Celeron 1.1 Ghz,
500 G SSD,
Then I made sure Secure boot was turned off and UEFI was turned on.
Next I did the resize partition so I could have some space. So far all is good I’m thinking...Not so fast there Sparky, I hear from the peanut gallery
I reformatted my thumbdrive to fat32, using Rufus and uNetbootin, loaded my LM 18.3 iso into it, and started down installation road.
Or so I thought. The doggone thing freezes up at the grub install everytime. Even with different distros I tried; Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and LM18.3 Cinammon, which is the one I want to install. But all behave the same.
I saw somewhere that it can be done even with the balky Acer hardware, so can anyone point me in some general direction that addresses dual boot with Windows 10 and LM18.3? I’m not desparate, but my wife doesn’t get my attention till I can put a bow on this project to show that it can be done. That's right, it's her fault! LOL
