Re: Installation error
Hello rizly
Welcome to Linux Mint and the Linux Mint forum
It sounds like you might be using an outdated version of Rufus.
Try this version

Re: Installation error
Thank you WarfRat for your response.
Actually I tried using the latest version of the Rufus, Rufus 2.18 the installer version as well as the portable version.
and also I tried it with other usb boot apps too, Universal USB Installer
None of them worked. So there might be some other issues i think.

Re: Installation error
That would be my suggestion.
The only encounters I've had with those errors were when a >32GIG usb was used or the image wasn't burnt - i.e., copying the iso image files to the media.
I've always used 8GIG sticks with no problems.
Also check the md5sum of the iso file to verify its integrity.
If the processor is a dual core then you should use the 64bit version otherwise use the 32bit version.
Re: Installation error

What is the HP model.? Or post the Terminal output for
Did you install in UEFI or Legacy BIOS mode.? Did you install with the "Erase disk and install LM" or "Something else" method.?

Thank you very much for the suggestion, It's coz of the USB. I used a external hard drive and it worked.
thank you for your support.
