IsoLinux on Recovery Disc

Post by thstearns » Thu May 24, 2018 11:44 am

I have a Recovery Disc for an IBM M55 PC which includes a folder entitled "IsoLinux". Not sure what this might be--probably a means for installing some version of Linux at boot? For example, if my M55 had a Linux O/S and crashed (very unlikely!!) then this is how I would restore it, by booting to this disc and selecting Linux???

ISOLinux is a boot loader. Therefore it's probably what makes the disc bootable.
