RealtimeKit default installation in Linuxmint 18.3
Does Linuxmint 18.3 install "rtkit" by default? Can it be removed without concern for the integrity of the package system and the stability of the system?

Apparently it is installed by default. I looked a 18.3 Cinnamon and 18.3 XFCE, and it is there in both of them. It is also in 17.3 XFCE. No idea whether it can be removed or not, but when you go to remove a package, it should tell you what else the remove will do.
