I hope this is the right forum, i was unsure as to where to post this article, so thought here would be the best place.
I have an HP Envy X2 13-j000na
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp ... /c04495516
I would like to install Linux Mint on it, but i am not quite sure how to go about this.
Back in 2014/2015 there seemed to be a few tutorials or guides on how to install Ubuntu, but i was afraid to attempt installing Linux as the device was new and quite expensive, i did not want to end up with a brick, so i never bothered trying to install Linux.
At Christmas was bought a new Tablet and decided to try and install Linux on the HP Envy X2, i searched Google and could not fin any guides that could help me or any of the ones that i had seen from before, i was sure XDA-Developers had a guide, but i cannot find it.
So i am wondering if anyone here has the same device and has installed Linux Mint on it and if they have could they give me pointers or a tutorial.
Thanks

Windows 10 is installed on it at the moment and i plan to use solely Linux.
I know how to install Linux Mint on a normal PC or Laptop, i am using Linux Mint XFCE on my main computer, however i am unsure of installing it on a device like the HP Envy X2, i am also unsure if i mess up somewhere that i will be able to rescue the device from being a brick.

As per http://www.linlap.com/hp_envy_x2_13-j000_series , your tablet should run OK with Linux.
You should have a Win 10 backup Recovery media(= USB or DVD) or System Image and run a "test-drive" with the Live LM USB. If every peripheral device works during the test-drive, then only install LM.

Sorry for bumping, just thought i would update the thread on my progress, i installed Linux Mint a couple of hours after creating this thread, i meant to post a while back, but have been busy.
I installed it quite easily after i understood what to do, it was very easy and i don't know why it took me so long to do it.
