Windows 10 and Mint 19 dual boot

Post by deepakdeshp » Sun Jul 15, 2018 1:52 pm

Hello,
I have on my friend's machine Windows 10 installed. I will restore a clonizilla Mint 19 cinnamon backup on a different partition. After restoration I will boot from Mint 19 live USB and run

Code: Select all

 sudo update grub.
Will I be able to boot Mint now? Or will I need to do anything else?
Thanks for the response.

No you will not be able to boot as you expect. The correct input is:

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
Mind the hyphen!!
