I just installed Mint Mate first time total newbie, on the first boot screen was black, so I hit Esc, shift
the menu came up. So continued then it scrolled down and stopped with some type of IO timer error.
Figured out how to at least get booted by editing the command line with acpi=off. so I really have two issues
Can anyone help me first be able to turn on my computer and at least get to the boot menu first, Then I will tackle the second issue
any help would be appreciated. I'm so new to this I can't figure out how to edit my grub I believe its called.
