Locked secure boot and windows 10

Post by foxtreat »

My dad has a new laptop with windows 10.we want to dual boot it(acer aspute a315-51-31RD)
However secure boot can not be disabled.but i can switch between uefi and legacy(uefi has secure boot locked)

Mint from a usb boots.on install though it has a checkbox to turn off secure boot and put a password because of third party drivers(i need them)

Will it just work with the password or will it require me to actually turn of secure boot manually(its impossible hardware locked)

Otherwise
Installing in legacy mode will probably work however Windows only boots in uefi
Help?
