UEFI/M.2 Drive Install Failure

Post by codenomics » Thu Sep 20, 2018 3:52 pm

OK, I ran into this issue a while back and just installed Legacy but want to get this installed properly.

I am trying to install Mint 19 (v2) onto an Acer laptop with an M.2 drive.
The install finishes normally (without errors) but after a reboot computer is complaining about there being no boot device.

Tried a couple of other distros (Elementary, Deepin, Zorin) and they install and boot fine but when trying to install Mint (and Ubuntu) I have this issue.

I know that the issue is fixed in the "v2" ISO but I have tried with and without the internet being connected just in case.

On an Acer computer you need to change some bios settings to solve this.

You are my hero! I had to differ a little from what that said in what file I chose, but that got me right to where I needed to be! I saw that page in my searches but I think that it was right before I walked away to take a break from this lol.

Thanks so much!
