Do I pick compatability mode or not

I have a hp laptop that has Windows 10 I am trying to boot mint 19 64bit but I have to options
one with compatibility mode one without
which one do I pick
is there even a difference between the two

if your video card is not working correctly, or you just get a bad video resolution,
then you have have to boot up in compatibility mode ..

Thank you but could you clarify on what is bad video resolution
my resolution is 1366x768

Pick the option without compatibility mode and if something isn't working, start a thread about it.
