Dual Booting Issue: I'm A Dumbass!

ok so i didn't follow the guide correctly and i made the partition that was windows xp my swap drive for linux. now i can't boot windows xp. is there a way i can undo this mistake?

Short answer: Probably not.

Longer answer: Try your Windows recovery disks. If that fails, there are a number of free disk recovery utilities available online.. Any number of them ought to enable you to recover your lost data so you can reformat/repartition/whatever.

Be prepared to not recover your data. Take this as a lesson to be extremely careful when editing partitions.

Xeon3D on the LinuxMint IRC channel gave me this link to post on his behalf:

Perhaps someone else has some other ideas about how to proceed as well. In the meantime don't touch that disk.
