installing LM19 from usb with problem

Hi,

hope someone can help me:
I installed LM19 from usb on my pc (quad core i5-2400, kernel 4.15.0-20-generic) with option "erase disk..."
All fine, I installed it on the disk, made a reboot without usb stick, and couldnot reboot the system. In Bios I have changed the primary boot sequence in HDD here LM has been installed, but without stick it doesnt boot.

Whats my problem?

The short answer is you've only indicated what you don't see. What is needed is a description of what you do see on your screen.

It appears from what you have said that you can boot the new install if your USB device is inserted. If this is true, then it would be helpful if you ran the command inxi -Fxxz in a terminal window and post back the results between [code][/code] tags (the 5th button from the left above the text entry box. This will provide a starting point in trying to determine the source of the issue you are having with your new install.

To confirm that your 2012 Lenovo desktop computer is Legacy BIOS/MBR-msdos, ie not UEFI/GPT, please run sudo parted -l. If so, ...

You have a multi-drives setup which requires the manual "Something else" install method, ie should not have used the automatic "Erase disk and install LM" method. The latter auto-install option is for a single-drive setup, eg you could have unplugged the other hard-drives before doing the install. So, the installed LM partitions and bootloader are now messed up = cannot be booted.

Try unplugging the other hard-drives, ie leaving only one internal hard-drive connected, and reinstall LM with the automatic "Erase disk and install LM" option. After install has completed OK, replug the other drives. If you need to fix the partitions of the other drives, run GParted from the Live LM media, eg to delete any wrongly installed LM partitions or the bootloader.

Or leave the other hard-drives connected and reinstall LM with the manual "Something else" option. Click "-" or Subtract to delete the wrongly installed LM partitions. Ensure that the "Device for boot loader installation" is the same internal hard-drive where you intend to install LM, eg /sda. ...
